2013 Ford Escape

This this vehicle came to us with an over heating issue and the customer was told it was a thermostat from an autocrats store. the real issue was a cylinder head temp sensor that had gone bad. this sensor would show the vehicle over heating with in minute of starting and put in straight into limp mode. the customer and I figured this out together as I didn't have my scan tool with me at the time. the code that came up was a P1299.
